7/31/2023 0 Comments Best invisible aligners redditWith COVID, the convenience of at-home aligners is obviously very tempting. I've got the same history as a lot of people: braces as a teen but didn't wear my retainer consistently. Implication to me is that I might need to go for gum grafts to rectify the issueĪs a result of the feedback, I had no choice but to switch to invisalign. So if you go into my comment history, you'll see that I recently bought the Byte impressions kit because of their Cyber Monday deal. They confirmed that these adjustments will not correct my issue and also in the first course of treatment my teeth were pushed out of the bone, causing the recession. CS was not really able to answer my questions effectively and there was also no option to upgrade to their other plan that claims to fix bite issues alsoīeing more skeptical now, I went to get a second opinion on the refinement plan with an orthodontist. Dentist tried to shave off some of my enamel to create more space but in the end it was not enough and I had to go for refinementsĪfter I got my refinement plan, I noticed that the adjustments continue to push my teeth outwards and the plan did not seem in line with the concerns raised during the consultation. Reported this to CS and they said it was normal so I decided to carry on and complete the programĪfter my final set of aligners, my bite was also totally off and worse so than before I started treatment. Went with zenyum mainly due to cost reasons, and also that I felt my issue was not serious enough to warrant paying so much more for Invisalignĭuring the first 6 set of aligners, I noticed some gum recession due to the teeth being pushed outward. Speaking from my experience of a zenyum user that stitched to invisalign You can PM me if you need more information or pictures! Which will be a nightmare because they take ages to rectify these issues and can be quite anxiety inducing for the user. Personally I am quite pleased with mine and I also thankfully didn’t have to experience some common issues like having wrong aligners sent to me, or that aligners didn’t fit, etc. There are a few subreddits here for invisible aligner users, I suggested you check them out before making your decision because there are many people who had bad experiences / unsatisfactory results. The results also vary for different individuals. But the trade off is less perfect results and a practically non existent customer service. I feel that the results can never be as good as traditional braces, you can get straighter teeth but it’s not the same as the really straight teeth you get from doing braces.īut I think ultimately you pay for what you get, invisible aligners are so much cheaper (I paid $2.5k + $120 for retainers, no other hidden costs). Not Zenyum but another company, but essentially the same thing. Hello, it’s a little late but I did invisible aligners and recently completed my plan. However, cleaning the aligners regularly can definitely be abit of a chore, and when you eat, you have to take it out and put it back which i personally find slightly unpleasant but still okay! if youre looking for aesthetics, i would recco Zenyum, else im quite indifferent between the two as well Zenyum definitely looks much nicer because it just looks like youre not wearing anything haha. ![]() And its definitely quite annoying to make sure your teeth is really clean because a lot of food gets stick in the wires. ouch), while for Zenyum, its less chance of these problems. Metal braces can be quite uncomfortable (last time the metal caused a lot of ulcers, the wire poke your mouth, and i got my tongue stuck on the metal. Overall i would say that its really up to what youre looking for. Hi! I did metal braces with a private clinic which might be why it was so expensive! Im not too sure about polyclinics, but I think likely the procedure will be very similar, just that diff dentist/public clinic but im really not v sure. Which was a better decision for you? Zenyum or metal? Still can't decide really. Hi friend, what about polyclinics? I heard it is about half the price for metal braces.
